Beautiful sandy beaches, clear seawater and a picturesque marina - that's Santa Ponsa.
Away from the center, on a small headland south of it called Sa Caletta stands an imposing stone cross (Cruz de la Conquista), erected to commemorate the arrival of King James I on 12/09/1229. At the foot of the viewpoint there is also a small marina worth seeing. There are two islets off the headland to the south. The larger of the two is called Isla Malgrats, the smaller Isla de Ses Conis (Conis is the Mallorcan word for conejos = rabbits). Around Santa Ponsa there are numerous protected natural parks and green areas. From there you can enjoy a view of the magnificent peak of the supposedly "magic mountain" Puig de Galatzó. For shopping, there is a wide selection of boutiques and souvenir stores, as well as the Saturday market with its quirky street vendors. Otherwise, Santa Ponsa's infrastructure and amenities are also well-rounded.
